Teaser Trailer Inspiration

Below I have taken 3 movie trailers from YouTube that have given me inspiration for my own teaser trailer. I will try to take some aspects, codes and conventions from these movie trailers to make my own look as professional as possible.

1. The first trailer that I looked at to get inspiration for my teaser trailer is from the movie Insidious Chapter 3. I have taken a lot of inspiration from this trailer and tried to adapt it to my own teaser trailer as it is the same style of horror that my target audience are interested in. I like how there is eerie and creepy non - diegetic music in the background towards the end of this teaser trailer as it makes the atmosphere change from happy to scary. This is how I would like my teaser trailer to be like for example at the start of the teaser trailer life will seem perfect but towards the middle and ending things will take a turn for the worst and it will not be the perfect life anymore. I think that from all of the teaser trailers I have looked at this one is my favourite and it is the trailer that I have come to the most to get inspiration for my teaser trailer to make it look as professional as possible.

2. The second teaser trailer that I have looked at is from the movie The Conjuring which is a horror film released in 2013. I like the style of this trailer as at the very start there is a piece of dialogue in which one of the main characters says "It is 9:18 and we are headed down into the cellar where the door just opened on its own" by having that piece of dialogue at the start it helps to create a sense of mystery for the viewer. If I am able to draw in my audience at the start of my teaser trailer and create a sense of mystery for them it will keep them interested in the trailer and therefore want so see the film.

3. The final movie trailer that I have taken inspiration from is called Annabelle which was released in 2014. I like this teaser trailer because all of the mystery and horror focuses around the one toy which is the doll. This teaser trailer is also in line with the style that I want my teaser trailer to be as everything is happy at the start but as soon as the doll is introduced everything starts to go wrong for the family. My style will be similar only it will focus on a group of friends and a house will bring horror to the group of friends. I also like how all of the main characters names come up at the end as it makes the teaser trailer look professional, this is what I will be doing with my teaser trailer. I will also be naming the production and distribution companies names at the start as it is a common convention of teaser trailers therefore it will make my teaser trailer look as professional as possible.
